These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of COTVault (the "Service"), operated by COTVault ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
COTVault presents the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commitments of Traders ("COT") reports — public, weekly-released positioning data — as readable dashboards, indicators, educational lessons, and analytical tools across a range of markets. COT data is published weekly and is lagging by design.
You agree not to:
The Service — including its software, dashboards, proprietary scoring engines, indicators, written lessons, branding, and design — is owned by COTVault and protected by intellectual-property law. Underlying CFTC data is public and not owned by us. Your subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; it does not transfer ownership of anything.
The Service relies on third parties including the CFTC (positioning data), Stripe (payments), and charting/data providers. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or actions of third-party sources. Where COTVault indicators are distributed on TradingView, that use is additionally governed by TradingView's own terms and house rules.
COTVault is provided for informational and educational purposes only. We are not a broker, investment adviser, or fiduciary. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any security, future, currency, or other instrument. Positioning data is context, to be confirmed with your own analysis. Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Past positioning, backtests, and historical results do not guarantee future outcomes. You are solely responsible for your own decisions.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be complete or timely.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, COTVault and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any trading or investment losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the COTVault operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
